University of Nebraska Selects Anthony Travel for Athletic Travel Services
Anthony Travel, the nationally recognized and award-winning leader in collegiate sports travel management, announced a new multi-year partnership with the University of Nebraska Husker Athletics Department as its preferred travel partner. Anthony Travel will provide comprehensive travel services for the Nebraska Athletics Department.
“We are looking forward to working with Anthony Travel as our travel partner,” said John Jentz, Executive Associate Athletic Director and CFO at Nebraska. “We were impressed with the breadth of services they provide and are confident that our student-athletes and staff will greatly benefit from their knowledge, expertise and consolidated services, particularly in the Big Ten footprint. Having a travel partner to plan the safest and most convenient paths for our teams as they compete at more than 100 events annually away from Lincoln, helps us to continue to provide our student-athlete with the best-possible student-athlete experience.”
As part of the partnership, Nebraska Athletics will benefit from two Anthony Travel account managers dedicated exclusively to Nebraska Athletics travel management needs, including scheduled commercial air, charter air, hotel accommodations, ground transportation, international team tours, and other travel related services as requested. Both Anthony Travel account managers will be based on site in the Nebraska Athletics Department.
“We are thrilled to be chosen as Nebraska’s travel partner,” said John Anthony, President and CEO of Anthony Travel. “We look forward to partnering with the Huskers to provide travel solutions and savings, and be a part of their culture of winning championships and academic achievement. Nebraska combines academics with athletics the right way, which is highlighted by its nation-leading 320, and counting, Academic All-Americans. This is the type of partnership where our cultures align and we can proudly support their winning ways.”
In addition to University of Nebraska Athletics, Anthony Travel serves as the official travel partner for five other university athletic departments in the Big Ten Conference: Indiana University, Michigan State University, Purdue University, University of Wisconsin and Northwestern University.
